Visitors of Islas de Gigantes never failed to mention how they have been bewitched by this mysterious place. Located in Islas de Gigantes Sur, ‘Tangke’ as commonly called by the locals is a saltwater lagoon surrounded by high limestone cliffs. From the outside, one would never know that there is a hidden gem inside, a magnificent creation of God. People who have visited the place could somewhat compare it to El Nido of Palawan or Thailand. It’s just so breath-taking.

Lately, I’ve been busy managing my schedules: from running errands to making a living that I haven’t noticed it’s already the first day of March. In a few days, school will be over and summer vacation will officially start. It’s going to be two months of fun under the sun. For me, summer is synonymous to vacation, fun and beaches. Oh! I can’t wait to hit the road for my next summer getaway vacation. The thought of relaxing and having fun somewhere interesting made me excited. So I’ve made a list of top summer destinations in the country. I’ve been to some of the places and would still love to go back there and some are still on my bucket list, waiting to be explored.

The Masskara Village 2013, a joint project of ABS-CBN Bacolod and Robinsons Place is now on its 17th year. Fifty-five (55) colourful intricately designed wearable masks created by artist all around Negros are on display at the said mall.

It’s been a while since I joined a sponsored tour, so I was a bit excited when I got invited for the launch of the “Manggad Kang Antique Heritage Tour” headed by Mr. Flord Nicson Calawag with the Department of Tourism Region 6 and the provincial government of Antique. The target of this tour is to promote not only the eco-tourism of the province of Antique but also to help the community-based livelihood of the province.
