Let’s welcome 2012 with a BANG! But before that let’s do a recap of 2011 as I have a lot to be thankful for
And one of the most memorable things I did on 2011 was jumping off a 60 foot tree. Crazy right?

Local tourist guides and mounted policemen here are now ready for the expected increase of visitors to the centuries-old mummy caves and Mount Pulag, the country’s second tallest mountain.

Lagawan turned 7 last October 24,2011. Yippie!!! And to celebrate its 7 years in the blogosphere, I’ve decided to give back or share something to others, instead of the usual series of Anniversary contest. Well, instead of celebrating it on the actual day, I moved it on the last weekend after semestral break (Nov 6) so the kids will have new set of school supplies and will be inspired to go back to school. And fortunately it was also the birthday of my Mom and sister, so the feeding charity project I planned turned to a birthday party with poppers, games and pabitin. It was a triple celebration of giving thanks and of course sharing with others all the graces we received.
Here are some photos from the recently concluded Masskara Festival 2011 in Bacolod City. Enjoy!

Finally, I’m home after a tiring yet fun filled Masskara Festival 2011 Streetdance Competition: Barangay Category.

The Masskara Village 2011 officially opened last October 3,2011 with around 60 colorful and intricately designed masks by artists from the different cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental. The Maskara Village is an annual event organized by ABS-CBN and it is held at the 2nd level of Robinson’s Place Bacolod.
The Negros Bloggers together with SM City Bacolod sponsored the Negros Blogging Seminar entitled “Everything About Blogging: From Hobby to Money” last September 17,2011 held at SM City Bacolod Event Center. The speakers for the seminar were professional bloggers Enrico Dee of byahilo.com and Mr. Lloyd Tronco of talonggo.blogspot.com.

One of the most colorful festivals in the Philippines, the Masskara Festival is just around the corner. And I know everyone is excited to join the celebration. This year is the 32nd year of the Masskara Festival and it is slated on October 1 to 19,2011 with the theme “Celebrating the New Icons of Bacolod City”.
