Lake Caliraya

Posted by AudreyRose under Road Trip

Who would have thought that it’s already the middle of summer? I’ve been planning on having a vacation but unfortunately I was busy processing my Masters that I almost forgot its summer. Anyway, here’s a nice place to go too if you don’t have a long vacation leave and if you are on a budget, the place is Lake Caliraya.

Lake Caliraya is a man-made lake located at Cavinti Laguna, Philippines. It was built in 1937 by US Army Engineer Major General Hugh J. Casey to generate hydroelectric power for Manila. But today Lake Caliraya is one of Laguna’s popular summer hotspot and weekend getaway.

Well, Caliraya is the perfect place for relaxing and winding down from the busy hassle of the City life. It’s also a nice place to unwind and enjoy nature. Aside from that Lake Caliraya is an ideal place for water sports like jet skiing, windsurfing, banana boat and boating. Not only that, you could also go camping at this beautiful lake and of course the most popular thing to do in Lake Caliraya is Fishing!

So what are you waiting for? Pack up your bag and visit Lake Caliraya!
