Summer Getaway: Beaches
Summer time is here. Planning your latest summer vacation for 2009?
I bet everyone has their own plans where to go this summer with their love ones, friends and family. With the country’s 7,107 Islands, everyone can have their pick on a variety of summer getaways. As for me since I’m on a budget constraints, I don’t think I can visit Boracay this year. But if there’s someone out there who can send me a plane ticket:) I’ll be happy to accept it. But if not well, there are other cheaper options out there.

Here are a list of some Beautiful beaches in the country where you can spend your summer vacation:
BORACAY ISLAND
with its sugary white sand beaches and Crystal blue waters, is touted as the “finest beach in the world.” Located at the Northwestern tip of Panay Island, Western Visayas, Boracay is one of the country’s most popular tourist destination and party place.
PAGUDPUD
A coastal resort town on the northernmost tip of Luzon that is a haven for tourists. It is reputed for its white sand beaches and crystal blue water. Pagudpud is a true exile from paradise. Pagudpud also offer a lot of activities for beach lovers and to those who are not. You can go wind surfing, wave surfing, skimboarding and a lot more.
PALAWAN
An Island province of the Philippines which is composed of 1,780 islands and islets, rocky coves, and sugar-white sandy beaches. Palawan boast of their unspoiled beaches, islets and coves. It is also the home to the world’s longest underground river. Palawan is a haven for tourist who want peace and serenity.
BANTAYAN
is an island in the Philippines located at the western portion of the northern tip of Cebu Island. Bantayan is a well kept secret of Cebu. It’s is unspoiled and it boast of a crystal clear blue water and a sandbar. Its a perfect place to relax and unwind from the hassle and bustle of the city life. Not only that Bantayan Island is cheaper summer getaway than Boracay and Palawan.
BOHOL
Lately Bohol became a popular tourist destination for beach bummer and party goers like Boracay. Bohol is a perfectly place for a summer vacation for family and friends for it boast of a scenic shoreline, beautiful clear blue water beaches and the home of the Chocolate Hills. Bohol is also famous for its diving locations in Panglao and it is routinely listed as one of the top ten diving spot in the World. Bohol is also the home of the 2nd smallest primate in the world, the Philippine Tarsier.
SIQUIJOR
The province of Siquijor is home to one of the country’s beautiful unspoiled crystal-clear beaches. It’s a nice place to relax for it is a haven for those who want serenity with a touch of scenic beauty. And this place is said to be the home of supernatural powers and witches.
ANAWANGIN
Another beautiful unspoiled crystal-clear beaches here in the Philippines. It is also one of the best postcard place in the country. I’m hoping that I can visit it this summer.
CARAMOAN
The Caramoan Peninsula is one of my dream summer vacation this 2009. This place is really beautiful and postcard perfect! Because of it’s beauty and unspoiled surroundings, the Caramoan was the location for the Survivor France last year. We should be proud of it
PANGASINAN
Pangasinan is home of the Hundred Islands. It’s also a very scenic, beautiful and unspoiled beaches in the country. Online 3 major Islands are open to the public. I’m also hoping that I can visit Hundred Islands this summer. You can spend your time here in tranquility and out of the hustle and bustle of the city life.
That’s it for now. Enjoy your Summer!!!

I would choose Pagudpud anytime, better than Boracay because the place is less crowded; the beaches are clean and the water sparkling. Thanks for sharing.
