October is just a month away and the main streets of Bacolod City will once again be filled of smiling people who want to witness the world renowned Masskara Festival. So if you want to have fun this coming October come to Bacolod City and join the Bacolenos in celebrating the 2009 Masskara Festival.

Here’s the tentative schedule for this year’s Masskara Festival:

October 1 – Opening of Masskara Festival 2009 at Bacolod Public Plaza

October 10 – Night of the Press Club Star

October 15 -8 a.m. Photographers Workshop at Sacred Heart Seminary
7 p.m. Search for MassKara Queen 2009 at USLS Coliseum
8 p.m. Majica MassKara, Tourism strip at Lacson St.

October 16 – 7 a.m. MassKara Drag Race Competition (on going until Oct 17) at Old Bacolod Airport
5 p.m. Photographers Night at Benjamin Hall
6 p.m. Opening of Electric Masskara, Tourism Trip at Lacson Street (Until Oct. 18)
8 p.m. Ledge Dance Competition, Tourism Strip, Lacson St.
10 p.m. Concerts Tourism Strip, Lacson St.

October 17 – 3 p.m. Street Dancing Schools Category, Araneta St. to Plaza
6 p.m. Electric MassKara, Tourism Strip, Lacson St.
10 p.m. Concerts, Tourism Strip, Lacson St.

October 18 - 2 p.m. Street Dancing Barangay Open Category, Araneta St. to Plaza
6 p.m. Electric MassKara Tourism Strip, Lacson St.
8 p.m. Winners Showdown, Tourism Strip, Lacson St.
10 p.m. Concerts, Tourism Strip, Lacson St.
- Charter Day Countdown at NGC Main Stage with satellite stages  in Lacson and Araneta Street.
