Day 2 in Hongkong: Avenue of Stars, TSL and HK Ferry Terminal
After much tossing and turning and a 100 channel hop, finally I was able to sleep around 3:30AM. Then I woke up around 6AM to prepare for the day’s activities. We were wondering where we would have our breakfast and all of us where thinking McDonald’s but fortunately we had our breakfast at the Hotel Restaurant (kudos! to Holiday World for this). Then off we went to Avenue of Stars.

View of Hong Kong Island at night from Avenue of Stars
It was so hot in Hong Kong on our second day that when we arrived in Avenue of Stars we didn’t even want to roam and find Jackie Chan’s mark there. Well, of course! That’s the most popular plaque in the whole avenue and the most crowded so everyone wants their picture taken there. And since we already visited the place on our first trip, we decided to take photos of the harbor instead. Anyways, here’s a small info on Avenue of Stars.
Hong Kong Avenue of Stars is located in Tsim Sha Tsui Waterfront Promenade in 1982 by New World Group. This was built as a salute to eminent Hong Kong film workers for their devoted contribution to local and World theatres. Aside from that it also have an amazing view of the Harbor, especially at night. And it’ the best place to watch the breathtaking Symphony of Light (Light show). Here are some of the Stars in AoS to name a few: Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Bruce Lee, Chow Yon Fat, Maggie Cheung, and Stephen Chow.

Then after everyone had their photo taken with Jackie Chan’s plaque we went to Tse Sui Luen Jewellery (TSL) located at Yue St., Hung Hom, Hong Kong. TSL is one of the biggest Hong Kong chains engaged in jewellery design, manufacturing, retailing and export. TSL specializes in diamond jewelry made of platinum and pure gold in contemporary designs and great workmanship. When we arrived at the factory a Filipina TSL guide gave as a tour and told us some information on the recent TSL designs. And guess what? Almost all of TSL crews are Filipinos – from the factory tour guide, to the diamond cutters, QA’s and sales ladies in the showroom area. What’s great with the TSL tour is that visitor’s are not required to buy anything if they don’t want too and they give free drinks after the tour (drink all you can: coke, sprite and Royal).
Well, at the showroom area I was tempted to buy this beautiful Zodiac Pendant that’s on sale at $30(US) but I really stop myself from buying it for I’m not really a jewellery person. I’m contented with just a pearl earrings and that’s it! But it’s really beautiful and to top it, it’s a good luck pendant. Hmp! Sorry! I really want to show it to you but I don’t have any photo of the pendant and TSL for photography is not allowed there. I’ve even search the internet for a photo but to no such luck. Anyways, I went home still thinking of that pendant hmp! And the what if! But after a couple of days I totally forget it until I wrote this blog post. Hay!

After TSL we went to the Pier (forgot what Pier hehehe..) around 1PM and bought our ticket going to Macau. The departure time of the ferry is 2:30PM so we ate lunch first at the pier’s mall foodcourt and then check our emails.
Off to Macau. End of day 2 in HongKong
