Chinese New Year is just days away and the best way to celebrate it is to join the 2010 Bacolaodiat Festival in the City of smile – Bacolod. Bacolaodiat is a fusion of Chinese tradition and the Negrense style. It also comes from the word Bacolod and Lao Diat which is a Fookien term for ‘celebration’.

The Bacolaodiat Festival will be highlighted by Lantern Street Dancing Competition, Dazzling Grand Parade and the Symphony of Lights & Sparks fireworks display. Well, this would be a perfect way to celebrate Valentine’s Day and the Chinese New Year. So, book your way to Bacolod to witness this colorful festival.

Feb. 12
4:00pm – Chopsticks Alley
4:30pm – Dazzling Grand Parade (Route: Bacolod Plaza to Provincial Lagoon )
6:30pm – Convergence (A Tsinoy Show )
9:00pm – Symphony of Lights & Sparks (Fireworks Display)
9:30pm – Globe Night – Live Band

Feb. 13
4:00pm – Chopsticks Alley
7:00pm – Lantern Street Dancing Competition (Lagoon to Lacson -22nd St.)
10:00pm – Symphony of Lights & Sparks (Fireworks Display)
10:30pm – Rexona Night -Rico Blanco Live
12:00am – Closeup Lovapalooza (Kissing Couples).

Feb. 14
4:00pm – Chopsticks Alley
5:30pm – Kapuso Night
9:00pm – Symphony of Lights & Sparks (Fireworks Display).
