18th Maaga ang Pasko Goes to Bacolod

In the 18th year of the Maaga ang Pasko Campaign of Jollibee Foundations, they graced the City of Smiles, Bacolod. Together with SM Supermalls, the longest-running toy and book donation drive had a fun filled media launch at the SM City Bacolod Activity Center Last October 25. The event was attended by the new partner schools and companies from the area, Jolly Family Toy Scouts, and also  Jollibee executives headed by Manolo Pineda, Jollibee Area manager for Bacolod.

The launching was started with the invocation of which was led by the University of the St. La Salle Chorale. There was also an intermission number given by one of the Kapuso, GMA star, Franchesca Far. The event included the Induction of the 2012 batch of Jolly Family Toy Scouts; it also included the traditional and symbolic hanging of commitments on the Maaga ang Pamasko Christmas Tree which was headed by the winner of the Jollibee Family Values Awards, the Ramos Family, together with the Jollibee Executives. This also started off the toy and book drive. There were also fun filled games as well as family oriented booths set-up in the activity center which gave the participants as well as the mall goers an opportunity to enjoy the launch with their families and also aiding in the campaign. All they had to do was donate toys and books in exchange for tickets.

The Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko Campaign has already helped thousands of children, having collected and donated more than 1.8 millions of toys and books through the years with the help of the volunteer, also known as the jolly toy scouts. The Maaga ang Pmasko Campaign does not end in Bacolod; they plan to also have a launching at four other key cities this October and November which includes Metro Manila, General Santos City, Calamba and Tarlac. So what are you waiting for! Gather toys and books and spread the Christmas cheer by dropping them at the Maaga ang Pasko boxes in any Jollibee stores nationwide.
