In his message, the Ilonggo solon stressed that the festival has already brought many honors to the city and continues to reap the admiration of many more sectors.

“Dinagyang is owned by the entire city of Iloilo thus the honor brought by Dinagyang is also an honor for everybody,” he emphasized.

He stressed that he was very much honored that he became congressman of the city that gives the country its Dinagyang Festival.

He added ‘Pamukaw’ simply showed the oneness of Ilonggos for Dinagyang.

The ‘Pamukaw’ was participated in by 14 tribes vying for the win under the Ati competition during the Dinagyang highlight slated on January 23.

The participating tribes paraded along the city’s major thoroughfares and ended up at the Freedom Grandstand where they gave the audience a sneak peek of what they could expect during the 2011 festival.

The participating tribes include Salognon, Silak, Angola, Pan-ay, Bantu, Molave, Himal-us, Aninipay, Pag-asa, Bola-bola, Manduryaw, Ilonganon, Atub-Atub and Paghidaet. (PNA)

We decided to dress up for the occasion and had a bottle of wine instead of champagne. It was a relaxing candle light evening and so different from our previous Noche Buenas in the province. We celebrated Noche Buena with buttered garlic shrimp & Crabs, Sinigang sa Miso na Tuna Belly with rice, cake, Icecream, spaghetti and a bottle of wine to go with it. A Great wine can make a meal become a fantastic one. Just ask the wine expert.

A friend told me that I should try Bajo Aragon wine for its rich in flavor, with long after taste and quite powerful. It’s also good with all types of red meats, white meat dish and casseroles. Well, it is produced from red and white Grenache with low yield and very high alcohol and tannins. So the taste is really great. Well, I hope I could try Bajo Aragon wine in the near future.

My lola was really strong before the accident happened. So we’re really shocked when the truck hit the house and the tricycle which killed almost 4 people and injured my lola and her companions. It happened 7months ago in the province. It just show how strong my Lola is. The doctor said that she will live for a month or 2 only but she shocked the Doctor by living for 7 months.

We, my sisters and I, don’t really see our lola that much because we grew up on our father’s side of the family, but we really love her and care for her. We hope that you’ll be in the right hand of God the father.

Our Christmas day was just a normal day. Nothing exciting happened. We decided not to cooked or buy food that we can’t eat naman. So, it’s a chips party hehehehe…
